What if every technician could troubleshoot with the confidence of your most experienced tech?
Every technician has been there. You’re on-site, something isn’t working, and you don’t know why.
You try what you know. You check a few things. Still nothing. Now the customer is waiting, the clock is ticking, and you have to figure out what to do next. That’s when “I don’t know” starts to feel like a much bigger problem.
Do you call someone back at the office? Text your senior tech? Start searching through manuals? Call manufacturer support and hope you’re not on hold forever?
None of that feels great when you’re standing in front of the customer who expects you to know the answer.
Nobody Knows Everything
We expect a lot from technicians today. They’re working on systems from diverse manufacturers, a variety of product generations, different software versions, and various configurations.
Nobody can know it all. Not your newest technician. Not your best technician. Not the person who has been doing this for 25 years. The information is out there. The problem is finding the right answer when you actually need it.
That’s the part we wanted to change with FieldResolve.
Ask the Question. Get the Answer. Keep Moving.
With FieldResolve, a technician can ask a question from the jobsite and get an answer based on manufacturer documentation. FieldResolve has more than 40,000 documents across 36+ manufacturers, so technicians don’t have to hunt for the right manual or call around for help.
And yes, that saves time. It can help avoid another truck roll. It keeps your senior technicians from becoming everyone else’s help desk.
But I think there’s something else that matters just as much: confidence.
There is a big difference between standing there thinking, “I have no idea what to try next,” and being able to say, “Okay. I know what to check. I got this.”
That changes the technician’s experience. It changes the customer experience. And over time, it helps build better employees.
Give Them the Tools to Figure It Out
We’re not trying to replace what technicians know. FieldResolve doesn’t replace experience, training, or good troubleshooting skills.
It helps technicians use those skills by giving them access to the information they need when they need it.
Your newer technician doesn’t have to call your senior technician every time they hit something they haven’t seen before. Your experienced technician doesn’t have to remember the details of every product they’ve worked on over the years. And your senior people can spend more time doing their jobs instead of answering calls from the field.
That’s what empowerment looks like to me. It’s not knowing every answer.
It’s knowing you can find the answer, solve the problem, and keep moving.
Sometimes that’s all it takes to go from “I don’t know” to “I’ve got this.”
